Tom is admitted to practice law in Colorado. Before joining Bendinelli Law Firm, he spent over 15 years as an insurance defense attorney in Illinois and Colorado, focusing mostly on workers’ compensation defense. Tom’s civil litigation practice includes handling the firm’s workers’ compensation cases, as well as personal injury claims arising from motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, bad faith claims, and coverage disputes.
Tom was born in Green Bay, WI. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Political Science. Prior to attending law school, Tom worked for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections as a housing unit Sergeant. He supervised a team of officers and oversaw the operation of housing units containing anywhere from 40 to 650 inmates. He worked in juvenile and adult medium and maximum-security prisons. He was a member of the Emergency Response Unit, and a team leader on cell entry and extraction teams.
During law school at Northern Illinois University, Tom worked as a law clerk for several judges in small claims, arbitration, and family law courts. Tom is a past president of the Winnebago County Bar Association Workers Compensation Section, in Rockford, IL. He was also a Certified Arbitrator for the 17th Judicial District in Rockford, IL. When he is not working, Tom enjoys spending time with his family, especially camping, hiking, and outdoor activities with his twin daughters.
