“There has never been but one question in all of civilization―how to keep a few men from saying to many men―‘You work and earn bread, and we will eat it.”
– Abraham Lincoln
Mr. Clark Litten is an experienced attorney who has emphasized practice in Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability for the last 27 years. Growing up in Colorado, Clark earned his way through college and law school working at various physically demanding jobs, including factory worker, painter, construction worker, lawnmower, landscaper, milkman, laborer at a meat packing plant, truck driver, forklift operator, janitor, dishwasher and busboy.
From these experiences, Mr. Litten gained a deep and lasting appreciation for the struggles, burdens, and challenges faced each and every day by workers with physically demanding industrial jobs. Due to his personal background in these jobs, and his years of work as an attorney, Clark has both observed and fought the abuses suffered by men and women at the hands of employers, medical providers and insurers, within the workers’ compensation system.
Social Security Disability claims is another area where Clark found that he could be of great help to the injured. He quickly discovered the large number of people who mistakenly assume that they can navigate by themselves, the complicated requirements of a Social Security Disability system fraught with complicated rules, short deadlines and rigorous medical requirements. It is often the case that people will find Clark only after they have wasted years attempting to obtain benefits without his guidance.
Throughout his decades of experience, Clark has often heard the common refrain echoed by injured and disabled claimants- that they don’t want to “take advantage of the system”, not understanding that it is much more likely that the system is taking complete advantage of them- and that they could be walking away from tens of thousands of dollars of benefits, further medical treatment, and even lifetime benefits.
Clark is very proud and feels very fortunate that he has been able to obtain millions of dollars of benefits for the injured people of Colorado. He understands the needs and concerns of the injured and the sick, and is available to meet with clients after hours and outside the office when necessary.
Clark Litten is a Colorado native, has been married for the last 25 years, and has two children which keep him busy whenever he’s not at the office.
